Soap is not a difficult thing to manufacture. You simply take a caustic soda
solution, mix it with fat or oil, and boil the two together. The caustic soda
could be replaced by CaOH. Calcium is a principle constituent of lunar
Anorthite. When large amounts of aluminium are produced by the colony, Calcium
will be a by-product.
We would also need an oil or fat. Maybe the best solution would be linseed or
sunflower oil. These two plants could be grown within the habitat.
