Now, now. I only read one message on this entire thread which I
considered to be an "attack" on Biosphere 2. (And one response requesting
more information on said attack.)

Was Biosphere 2 a fairly "squishy" scientific study? Yes. You would have
to be to conduct a study as enormous as Biosphere 2.

Was it an excellent first step towards teaching us how to create and
maintain sealed habitats? Absolutely. We got a ton of data out of the
experiment.

Can we take what we've learned from Biosphere 2 to build an even better
sealed habitat? Sure!

Is NASA helping or hindering advancement in space technology as a
whole? Wellllll, this is a religious argument I don't know that we really
want to get into on this list.

Should NASA's comments on non-NASA projects be taken with a grain of
salt? Absolutely.
