I concur. The lack of a habitation module can be seen as an opportunity
to push forward the field of telerobotics. Teleoperation will be important
in extraterrestrial resource utilization, whether the target be Luna, NEOs,
Mars, or elsewhere.

As I was reading yet another article about the lack of people to
conduct experiments on the ISS
(http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99991134), a possible
solution occurred to me: teleoperation. Not only would this help the
ISS give useful research directly, developing the field of
teleoperation would itself be useful to efforts to colonize near-Earth
space.
