Odd the cost of DS1 or NEAR was not mentioned, or the fact they did not
do (hardly) any of the things these mythical (magical?) ants should do.
There is only a fantasy (apparently a group fantasy) that they could work,
no demonstrations. I would be more interested if almost any of the
technical details would be described (at better than a Star-Trek level) and
a few realistic target asteroids identified.
And in response to "in the AsterAnts scenario to return 1-2 tonns of
material may only require a Titan Rocket launch." I have to wonder why one
would not just use the materials of the spent Titan. It must have more mass
than 2 tonns, and is already processed into (once) useful forms.
