Greetings Dan,

Well I worked temporarily at KSC while working on the Galileo space probe and some communications satrellites.
I was purely on the payload side, never worked on the Shuttle or any launch systems directly.
But I toured most of the main launch pads. Most of the
time I was in payload processing buildings.
My background is in QA and Safety. These days I work on Software QA for a large non-aerospace computer company.
I believe I have a rather unique perspective.
I have a BS degree in pure physics as well as MS in Systems Engineering.
I have a lot of hands on nuts and bolts aerospace experience down to the component level.
But I also have a big picture perspective, with a
strong interest on the overall macro-economic strategy
for large scale space industrialization, and the
technical underpinning it will require.
My favorite expression is this one:
"When you are up to your neck in alligators it is
difficult to remember your original intention was to
drain the swamp".

Alas, I think we never met. I worked with some of the
Martin folks, but your name does not immediately ring a bell.
