materials.

The market being served is near-Earth space construction.

Raw materials to be used will be lunar or possibly NEO asteroids.

Hence the Moon or an Earth-Moon Lagrange point would be trhe ideal
location, i.e. close to the end user and clsoe to the source of raw
materials.

Putting the furnace near the Sun or in solar orbit would make it more
expensie to transport raw materials to the furnace, and finsihed
products from the furnace.
