There might be a niche market for rectennas to recycle microwaves from
linear accelerators, if they can be made cheaply enough. That generally
means mass production. I am not sure about the size of the market
though.

The first unit would be an R&D project, and it might be eligible for
government research funding, e.g .DOE or possibly NASA. I vaguely heard
DOD is interested in beamed power for suppyling remote bases, might be
some money there somewhere.

A potential business opportunity for a company with some relevant
technology and the inclination.
