EM Launcher With Small Rocket

There are electronic timers available for igniting model rockets (e.g.
http://www.performancehobbies.com/acxsolv.htm). These have two
problems - They're too heavy for the very small rockets that we're using
now, while the high acceleration of a full scale launcher might require
special electronic components. So a fuse seems like the best way to go
for now.

There are several existing design concepts that would make a good
starting point. I would like to hear how your research (and
construction, I hope) goes.
