Looking for information

It has been argued that a super conductor ring could store energy by simply
getting a current going in it, which would make a magnetic field storing
energy, but are limits as to the field strength at which super conductors
remain super conducting, and also the strength of the materials, since the
fields "want" to lower their energy by spreading out. This would also apply
to plasma storing the energy. There are a very limited ways to store energy
when you get to the fundamentals, and they involve either kinetic energy or
fields. Nuclear power, for example, extracts energy stored in nuclear
fields. Chemical reactions release energy from electromagnetic fields in
the atoms involved. My take on this there is little hope of storing much
energy this way, say much more than could be stored in a flywheel.
