Joining of Nanotubes/fibers

Consider:

Nanotubes/fibers formed into a net-like web,
forming in turn, hollow cylinders of whatever
micro or macro diameter may be deemed appropriate.

[a lot of latitude here]

If they can be made sufficiently flexible, they might be
joined in the manner of a chinese finger puzzle.

This would allow cables to be connected end to end
seamlessly.

Just a thought.
