Compare and contrast with O'Neill's work. O'Neill had mentioned somewhere that at some early point in his work, it stuck him that these ideas were so logical that somebody must have thought along these lines before. A colleague (I think it might have been Dyson) turned him on to the writings of both Tsiolkovsky and Dandridge Cole. When O'Neill wrote "The High Frontier", he named one of the space craft mentioned the Konstantin Tsiolkovsky and another the Dandrige Cole in tribute. Regards,
