First Use of Space?

Please. Let's have some priorities. Interstellar space exploration is NOT
a necessary task for humanity right now. Don't start worrying about
distant supernovas until

1.) After all the large NEOs and short-period comets have been discovered;
and
2.) After at least 10,000 people are living off-planet; and
3.) After large space-manufactured and space-based telescopes are common.

We'll be in a much better position then to address your concerns.

An asteroid is pretty bad, but people hardly talk about the effect of a
Supernova within 50 lightyears. This could be threatening not only the
Earth
but the whole Solar System. There is almost no defense possible against
such
lethal radiation let alone the high enegized matter reaching the Earth many
years after the radiation.
People should be aware that interstellar space exploration is a neccesary
task for humanity not over 2000 or 2000000 years but now.
