New Project: Commercial Spending on Space

There are a couple of really good spots to go for
data on spending that break it out in a few different
ways.

Every year, the Department of Commerce suboffice,
the Office of Space Commercialization, pays out a
report put out by futron which shows the stat of the
aerospace industry entitled "Trends in Space
Commerce". This is available online at their website:
http://www.ta.doc.gov/space/library/reports/

There are also links that go to other gov agency's
website. I highly recommend going through the FAA's
website which tracks space launches and has reports
predicting past and future trends of space launches in
general. Look for the COMSTAC (Commercial Space
Transportation Advisory Committee) report on there. A
good read for this subject w/ numerous reports for
economical analysis. You can goto their website at:
http://ast.faa.gov/

There are also numerous citizen watchdog groups out
there with statistics. One of the best IMHO is the
Federation of American Scientists. They concentrate
various gov reports in the Space Policy Project that
break out who is getting the money and where it is
being spent in space. It also looks at other
countries' spending habits. Here is the url:

There are also good links at some various advocacy
groups like Space Frontier Foundation and Permanent.
NASA also has a department of space commercialization
which also has various reports which you would find
may find useful.
