Like a gas tax - there's an NY Times letter today (following on
Friedman's latest column last weekend, following on the letters,
including mine, on moving away from oil dependence, following on
Friedman's original column a couple of weeks ago) with a simple
suggestion: add 5 cents/gallon gas tax every month for a while...

In addition to a gas tax? That would just drain our own oil resources
dry quicker and bring windfall profits to US oil companies - hate to do
that :-)

So, could we get some of those tax/tarriff revenues directed toward SPS?
