compared to the likelihood of evacuating a planet fast enough.
Or alternately, moving out of the way of an impactor. Try doing that with a
planet.

A stronger argument, besides the tremendous wealth they hold (which
may be the best argument (lol) ), is the ability to evacuate in time
compared to the likelihood of evacuating a planet fast enough.
