Bootstrapping - Step One

I'm very intrigued by how we will achieve an orbital infrastructure
sufficent in size and complexity to achieve our High Frontier goals.

I fear that as things stand now, too many space missions are sole
purpose missions which achieve their limited goals but do not aid
future missions. So, what follows for the next two months is my
vision of the necessary precursor steps to achieve the
infrastructure required to build the Habitat and SPSs.

1.) Launch a LEO worker housing station. This is our toehold in
space. It will have no other mission other than to house some
workers and robots. No science missions, no earth observation
equipment, nothing but workers living there. Future modules for
equipment support will be launched, but this housing module is
mobile and will be able to be moved to different locations in the
years to come.

All I'm really going to say about economics in this series of posts
is that a number of utilities have committed to significant SPS
purchase/lease contracts, investors have committed capital on the
basis of those utility contracts, and we've been able to raise
significant funds in the bond markets based on our new equity and
committed cash flow. There, nice and vague.
