For example, using an aluminum shield, attennuating a 100-
MHz wave by N orders of magnitude in power will require a thickness of ~8*N
micron. So am I working this out right that a 1 mm thick shield would provide 125 orders of magnitude attenuation? If so, sounds pretty impressive, and leads me to think that when O'Neill talked about a "thin" aluminum skin stretched over a geodesic frame, he was probably talking even thinner than 1 mm.
