I find myself in the position of supporting both authors.
Easterbrook wrote for a general audience and had errors in his
article. Despite this I think he did a good job in getting important
points across.

Lindsey's critique is bang on and he brings Easterbrook to task for
the errors. For those who follow this topic, Lindsey's piece is a
good appendum.
