They published my letter in October, and I heard
from a few people who seemed to have all sorts of negative notions
about solar power satellites that I had to spend some time refuting Not long ago I was responding to someone on Usenet about SPS. He was citing 3 insuperable technical problems that I told him had been solved in the designs proposed in the 1970's. For some reason, people don't seem to see any kind of need to actually read up on SPS before blasting away at it.
