I agree completely. Just sounded like a neat idea for the future. It's
something of the carbon nanotubes category of things that would be nice to
have for space development --- nice to have, but not necessary.

I read about this in "Science News". The biggest problem was that the
required shock wave distroyed the converting media. We should give this
idea a few years before getting exited about it when somebody can show
continous conversion without distroying the media.
