If the habitats are built not in the cislunar space, but rather around
Near-Earth Objects, then they will most likely develop (along a few
generations) their own cultures which cannot be identified neither with Earth
nor with other habitats. Those habitats would be in a kind of isolation that
is non-existant for us nowadays: they would be limited by lightspeed and then
there would be a "time lag communication abyss" between themselves and
between any of them and Earth.

But maybe I'm just overrating the value of instantaneous planetary-scale
communication...
