New Book on Space Colonization Forum: SSI-List
Thread: New Book on Space Colonization
Dear ssi Group:
I have been attending the group discussions for some time. There have been many high level contributions, eg., on the Coriolis forces, light levels, ecology and economics. It has been a long time since the last detailed book on the subject and new ideas emerged about which members of this group are knowledgable. A new book on these ideas would be useful. I would like to propose an edited book that collects the information and ideas of the members of this group. My wife and myself are developing e-books and Print-On-Demand books, some on space by our company Legacy Books. I would be glad to collect articles contributed by members of this group on the various engineering, ecological and social aspects of space colonization for an edited volume. The book will be made available through major e-book outlets such as Barnes and Noble, ebookmall.com and ebookomatic.com, and if the interest justifies, also in hardcopy through Amazon.com. A good new book will be useful for education and lobbying. Group discussions can help developing the material and the main points raised by the group can be included. I would like to invite members of the group who may be interested to contact me and indicate subjects on which you would be interested to contribute, also if you would be interested to co-edit book sections. Please reply on the ssi list mail or to myself directly at LegacyBooks@... We can start by developing a list of contents and aim at completion in 6 - 12 months, negotiable, which will allow ample of time for contributors.
Regards
Michael Mautner
