New Book on Space Colonies

To add to Tangoman's list i would add:

- Section on resource utilization. This topic is
sorely needed IMO. I've been trying to get my hands
on good books on this topic and so far have not found
anything uptodate and current. While there have been
many good papers published on the topic, the last
comprehensive book on this matter is a collection of
papers put together in "Resources of Near-Earth Space"
edited by John Lewis, Mildred Matthews and Mary
Guerrieri. This was published in 1994 and much has
been advanced since then.

- Section on the political aspects of space
colonies. Who are the players here on earth and what
are their impacts. A look at the role of government
space programs as well as private efforts. This
section could go over the various roles these would
play in the first creations of space colonies. Then
maybe a futurist look at possible political scenarios
which may play out once colonies begin to have some
independence from Earth. This topic has been
discussed here at some length in past...
