most smart leaders only hire one armed economist...
one one hand the reason for the decline in markets is blah blah blah, but
on the other hand , it could be said that the exact opposite is truly the
reason behind the decline...
As you can see, having only one armed economist eliminates "the other hand"
confusing explanations
:-)
ANYways...
all the major exporations that have been successful and impactful were made
by governments. Leif Ericson is now pretty much accredited with discovering
America, but this one "renegade sailor' hardly had a strong world impact
that Columbus' government backed excursion.
Same with Vasco de Gama, Magellin, Admiral Perry, etc.
The Hudson Bay co. had a charter issued by gov. to proceed, and the way was
pretty much figured out. It was the assumption that they were "backed" by
the government in some way or other that made it happen. Even the reverse
backings, like Botony Bay who were sent as punishment and many of the
Pilgrims who were searching for freedom from Government dictates were helped
along by these reverse motivations.
Again, the yellow peril taking over Space is actually the best motivator on
the horizon. That there is no economic benni in Space apparent is not the
key,,, that we think that someone else will discover them and through
firstist action take the lionshare of the potential (?) booty IS the
motivator.
