New Book on Space Colonies

Mining of platinum group metals is often considered promising, but
again there is a need for CATS to make it work. Tourism is another
possibility. I think that tourism has some important benefits, but it
certainly requires a decrease in launch costs.
The converse is true too though; space tourism will certainly cause a decrease in launch costs due to greater launch volume. We're just starting to see the beginnings of that now- there's an extra Soyuz laid on next year I believe. Doesn't sound like much I know, it's tender shoots of spring. Just hope there's no sudden frost.
