A lobbying window of opportunity

A terrible idea. The current government of China is simply awful,
unquestionably the most oppressive government of any major power.
Trying to somehow involve space in getting the message across is
harmful to the goal of freeing the Chinese people (at best it's a
distraction) and harmful to the goal of creating a spacefaring
civilization. To be humiliated because China has accomplished something
the US did over 4 decades ago makes no sense.

If we want to demonstrate the power of freedom we shouldn't agitate for
more government intervention. We should agitate for sensible
regulations that will encourage the growth of industries that bring
down the costs of spaceflight.
