SSI conference on an economic case & an alternative

interesting comments. On the subject of how to make open
information and technical developments more readily available,
and being in the publishing business myself, I've been thinking
a bit about starting some instances of the "eprints.org" server
that is designed to facilitate well-formatted posting, linking,
and searching of scientific and technical papers. Rather than
list archive... Any thoughts on that from the list?

Also, I'd second the question about the SSI conference. Beckie?
