There are a number of ways to look at "Open". "Open" does not mean
free. It means that all the details are available without fee. An
organization or person placing designs on InnerTransit.org is placeing
that information so that it is available. Clear box technology, not
black box technology. That does not mean that they are or should
release all rights to that design.

"SOFA" is an example of how rights could be held within the
InnerTransit.org framework. Any other organization or individual could
use InnerTransit.org as well without using "SOFA".

Yes, InnerTransit.org is married to InnerTransit.net and
InnerTransit.net is purely commercial. The telecommunications bill has
to be paid somehow. That is why there are these wonderful :( ads on the
bottoms of these messages. I prefer a more straight forward approach.
