Well, with work my time really gets chewed up during times of crisis
for some of the companies for which I provide oversight (which is
why I sometimes disappear from this list for weeks on end),
otherwise my schedule is flexible. Right now I've got time to
contribute. Besides, we've got to be aware of all the macro trends,
so I get all sorts of economic data crossing my desk. It's not too
hard to find a similar web link to document the same thing.

My post was mostly stream of consciousness, and included extensive
quotes, so it didn't take too long to write, which is why many of
the points weren't tied in too well.

I should have spent more time building the case for SPS vs. coal
w.r.t. China, and the paucity of new nuclear and hydro power,
despite the Three Gorges Dam, that is coming on stream, and how that
coal burning is related to global warming, etc.

If it was an essay, it would have been tighter, and probably less
wordy .. ): Sorry.
