Am I correct when I assume that your fictional space hotel is located at
LEO? If so, is it really necessary to have a radiation shelter in each
cross? LEO is deep in Earth's magnetosphere, and thus it is shielded against
a big deal of cosmic and solar radiation. Indeed, in nearly twenty years of
experiments involving long permanence (over one year) of humans in LEO,
there seems to be no noticeable health hazard caused by radiation...
