I just want to take a moment to keep the record straight; in our
dialogue, it was you who made this point, not I. If you recall I
made the point that I wasn't happy about rule by mobocracy and that
our elected leaders made the decisions for us.

I can completely understand the misattribution for this was a minor
blip in the dialogue but when I read it I simply didn't recognize
what you said were my own words :)

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, the book is entertaining and
Hogan does an *extremely* good job at Sci-Fi, heck he even combines
Libertarianism and Marxism into one philosophy (for all the Ayn Rand
fans, this should get you scratching your head :) but not for a
moment did I think the book realistically portrayed our future. He
leaves too many human characteristics out of the equation for they
would muddy the socio-political facade he's created.

I haven't yet seen a plausible plan for a Marxist or a Libertarian
society. His book was enjoyable fiction not a manifesto for the
future. To me at least.
