A Tower for Energy and Cleaning the Air, But...

Ummm, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this statement self contradictory: "We cannot avoid the consequences of our actions by simply inventing a technology to make them go away. The answers are not 200-meter 'lamp shades,' but conservation and new nonpolluting technologies."
Although it may not appear so, I am a practical environmentalist. Nothing irks me more than listening to this kind of hog wash that amounts to ranting.
