Do you use a surge protector on your computer?

Do you use a surge protector on your computer? Why? Probably to
protect your equipment from electrical surges I would guess.

What could be the cause of an electrical surge? How about a sudden
influx or sudden drop of current into the grid. This is what happens
when the wind suddenly stops and all the power from wind farms
ceases. Alternatively, the sun comes out from behind the clouds and
BOOM, there's a huge surge introduced into the grid.

Think about the equipment that is needed at the utility level to
prevent everyone's appliances from frying out.

The intermittancy of wind and solar is problematic.
