RELATIVELY benign, not perfect. SPSS will have it's own problems.
Among them, the launch rate necessary to develop support large scale
SPSS power production will add significant amounts of materials to the
upper atmosphere. This doesn't mean SPSS is bad, any more than killing
some birds means wind power is horrible or creating some shade makes
solar arrays unusable.
The materials in one asteroid (the largest ) are sufficient to make
orbital space colonies with ~150 times the surface area of the Earth in
