FLASH! - New Report says plants love SPS, why not environmentalists

So, now we need translucent solar cells (with very specific specs on the
amount and type of light that gets through for each family of plants). What
do we do about all the other kinds of plants? How about the scenic value of
everything covered by solar panels? What about the critters that live there,
how do they feel about having their sunlight interrupted? How about
addressing, again, the environmental impact of producing all those solar
cells (which I imagine would have to sacrifice some degree of effiency in
order to let the right kind of sunlight through for the plants)? And, how
about following the power consumption vs. time curve - how do we keep up
with the power rates in 2050? 2100?
