Askyscraper principles relevent to Habitat design?

I think that part of the experience on building arcologies like those can be
directly translated to a hive habitat - for instance, plumbing, elevators,
internal architectural design, etc.

On the other hand, there are aspects of an habitat that will be very
different. For instance, the structures of the "space-arcology" will be under
tension, not compression; and the arcology will have severe shape constraints
because of the pressure hull. (But then, Earth-based arcologies always will
also have severe shape constraints imposed by compression and gravity.)
