Yup - I read about these - very small and cheap
compared to traditional large nuclear plants.
This coupled with the recent innovation of high
efficiency LED to replace lighting fixtures should
extend cost effective power sources for another decade
or two.

Mass produced standardized, falt safe idiot proof
nukes.
THe designs are out there.

The Tar sands and all other carbon based power sources
will last at least another 100 years. It will take
something like really severe Global Warming to make
carbon unpopular and then what will be the likelyhood
of a switch to Nuclear power?
