Why not advocate a less contentious issue if your goal is
environmental betterment. Put out the coal fires.

This strategy wouldn't be open to questions of questionable science
nor would it seek to impose Green ideological/philosophical
worldview on actors who don't share the viewpoint.

No disputing this problem. The cause and effect are clearly
understood by scientists as well as the public and the politicians.
Any good strategist will tell you to pick the easy battles first.
Why isn't this on the top of the Green agenda?
Here's food for thought - because it doesn't involve societal re-
engineering.
