the difference is that the aircraft may carry a few hundred gallons
of fuel. where as the rocket would be carrying 10000 pounds of fuel
AND oxidixers. they mix in a crash and they ignite and burn in a
split second. in an aircraft crash, the fuel takes minutes to burn
due to the fact that it has to bring in the oxygen (heated air rises,
bringing in more air with more o2).
explosion that much bigger unless you add the oxidizer with it.
that's why they developed the aerosol bomb. it mixes the vaporized
explosive with oxigen over a large area making it an extreamly large
bomb, without having to have the bomb itself much bigger.
we're not talking about not going to space, we talking about mass
producing them at a lvl that will make them a lot cheaper. the way of
making them cheaper is to not do quality controls.
