The current state of the solar industry & reevaluating

I don't personally think it is ever appropriate to abandon the
business approach. I feel this way because the real money is in the
investment world. The challenge of wannabe spacers is creating a deal
attractive to investors that overcomes the high costs of space
launch. That stated, I've toyed with the idea of creating a non-
profit that covers the costs of space launch by compound interest.
This entity would simply compound the donations until it can create a
launch service solely by the interest. Launch prices would then be
determined solely by the market. Launches would be auctioned to the
highest bidder. Profits would be rolled into increasing launch
capacity which would decrease launch prices. The important point is
the entity sustains itself on the compound interest, not on profits
from the launch services.
