Message I've been cool to the idea of manual approval of posters because it would force me to manually intervene every time somebody signed up for this maillist. I'm doing this from work, so I can't really justify spending several hours a week on this. But let me have a look at how many people sign up per week on average, and I'll give it more consideration. I know the last time I looked into this, it didn't seem like Yahoo had anything as simple as a mechanism where a new member's 1st message goes to the moderator with an approve/disapprove link. (They really should have something like this.) So I think it would have to be some kind of manual process.
