Yes, there are basically two motives for aggression: profit and honour.
Even if any sane person regards the sense of honour of the attackers as
bizarre, and their reasoning as thirty IQ points stupider than babysnot.
Those snotshovels who were responsible for the 911 attacks were not
motivated by profits, not even to their surviving friends and relatives.
They were after glory, and vengeance for real and perceived slights, and
soothing their envy. Those animals who perpetrated the slave trade were
after profits, those ghouls who perpetrated the Holocaust were not.
At least one of these motives will be largely removed from the equation
in space settlements.
