Methinks you're forgetting family/kin, a.k.a. the survival imperative OF ALL
LIFE FORMS expressed at the "clan" level. No amount of social engineering,
no matter how well-intentioned, will ever be able to erase that from the
Human genome.

Violence will be with us always...especially, I believe, when we first
encounter intelligent extraterrestrials. Our challenge, as the
space-colonization vanguard, is to teach our children well the difference
between justified violence in defense of persons and territory (clan/kin)
and/or ideals (e.g. political and economic freedom for all sentients) and
unprovoked/immoral violence in pursuit of UNEARNED "profit" or MISCONCEIVED
"honor."
