Tau Ceti: Prime real estate for High Frontiersmen

So what happens to the colony when it starts to develop? Will it
never catch up the the wealth and technical sophistication of Earth
because its population is too small? One of the aspects of O'Neill's work was that our asteroid belt could support a civilization 3,000 times the size of Earth's civilization. And I think by extrapolation one of the implications of the new Tau Ceti knowledge is that this system could support a civilization 10 times the size of that. Regards, Mike Combs
