Thread: Genesis at Lagrage Point#1
Hi,
was sorry to see in the news that the Genesis
Space Probe crashed, have since read that NASA
will accomplish most of the missions'goals. What I
think is exciting about Genesis is that it was at
Lagrange Point #1 for two years,four months,and
one week.So now NASA has knowledge of what energy
is required to keep an object at this gravity-null
point between the Earth and the Moon. From what
little I understand,Lagrange Points 4 and 5 are
permanent gravity-null points and objects that float
in,remain there indefinitely;Lagrange Points 1,2,+ 3
are temporary, objects stay for awhile and drift out
again.Someday, there might thousands of Space Colonies
at each one of these Lagrange Points, with more People
living in these Space Colonies than live on Earth,
and with better jobs and a higher standard of living.
Am looking forward to the next X-Prize attempt.
