SSI situation

to Mark at PERMANENT. Yeah, I've been meaning to bring the list up to date on the situation. Charles Radley (Director, Moon Society) has managed to contact Dr. Lee Valentine via E-mail. Dr. Valentine said words to the effect that they were going to get together sometime in the next few days and decide how to proceed and then get back with us. His phrasing didn't seem to rule out the possibility that they might try to keep SSI going in some shape or form. I would have guessed that at this point there was no longer any "they" to discuss it, but evidently that's not the case. Mark has got the SSI Archive I edited up on one of his servers, but we're not going to publicize the URL yet. If they do try to keep SSI going somehow, I'm sure they'd have a problem with something on the web referring to SSI in the past-tense.
