In 1933, Standard Oil Of Calif went against the
popular understanding that there was no acessible oil
in Saudi Arabia. British Petroleum had tried and given
up on accessing Saudi oil. Standard developed the
resources to drill enough deeper(about 28,000 feet)
and brought in Damman well # 7, which is still
producing oil today. Standard then parterned with
Moblie ( to build refinary capacity in Arabia) Exxon
and Texaco to build a complete American habitate in
the middle of one of the toughest environments on
Earth. Plaaning ahead decades rather than merely one
or two years. This is what an unfettered industry can
do, when there's profit to be made. Now all we have to
do is show these same companies how much they stand to
earn in space. Where are the numbers???
