people will keep using current energy system because
they are not offered any alternative.
Not from government type regulations nor private
enterprise initiatives.
The status quo seems to be the only way till the
moment that we will reach a point of no return.
Hope that it will not be too late by then

Unfortunately, neither the producer nor the consumer
of fossil fuels pay the
pollution cost, but instead the general public. This
means that while the
cost of the energy may (or even has) become too high
to bear, people will
still keep using them.
