Hi,
hope you are well.Saw this in the Calgary Herald on
page A-20,Thursday,April 14.Moon Station Would Always
Be Sunny,by Roger Highfield(The Telegraph).The ideal
location for a Moon Base has been identified.US Presi-
dent George W Bush has called on NASA to gain a new
foothold on the Moon.A Lunar Base Camp would enable
NASA to take advantage of the Moon's low gravity and
its resources.Today in the journal Nature, plans have
been announced for the best place to build a Lunar
Base after analysing 53 images of the Moon's North
Pole.Ben Bussey and his colleages at John Hopkins
University near Baltimore have found areas on the
Northern Rim of Peary Crater that are likely to bask
in permanent Sunlight. In addition to Solar energy, there
are also shadowed regions nearby-at the bottom of
craters-where there could be deposits of Ice that could
provide Lunar Colonists with Water.
Was glad to read this,it
surely brightened my day,the future is looking up.
Take care,bye for now.Cordially,John Hadden
