Rotating Mirrors

Persons in a torus or
sphere will regard the *first* view as somewhat intimidating,
but as soon as their muscles reward a successful walk, they
will have begun learning that a curved-looking floor is level.
In a week, large surfaces that *don't* curve will look strange.

You just reminded me of a comment Keir Dullea made regarding his work on
2001. On those days when he spent most of his working day inside the
centrifuge set, he became so adapted to walking on a surface with a very
pronounced curvature that it took him a while to re-adapt once out of it.
He would find himself walking down the streets of London and placing his
foot ahead of him two inches too high.
